Our Holiday Park Camping Pitches

Touring Campsite Facilities
and Pitches

Our touring campsite pitches

Our holiday park is set amongst natural beauty, with the site itself landscaped into several smaller districts to provide a more intimate and personal feel. Each of our pitches offer different experiences for our guests, with some more suited to young families, being closer to play parks and other amenities. We will always try to cater your pitch dependent on what you want from your break, whether that be a leisurely adventure with the kids, or a peaceful getaway away from it all. All areas of our park are just a distance from toilet blocks, shower and disposal facilities.
Riverside Touring Campsite Pitches

Riverside Touring Pitches

Pitches on Riverside are some of the most popular on our site, usually booked up months in advance. These pitches are hard standing with electric hook up, separated by laurel bushes and backing onto the River Maun. Located close to the younger children’s play area, care should be taken with small children on these pitches, as they do all back on to running water. The photo above shows a view of the river from our most easterly Riverside pitch facing towards our seasonal area.
Ash Touring Campsite Pitches

Ash Touring Pitches

Not used in the winter months, our Ash pitches are surrounded by the river on three sides, offering a beautiful backdrop for the duration of your stay. These pitches feature an electric hook up in a very small and picturesque area of our park facing Riverside, so pitch numbers are extremely limited. Consideration should be given to booking this area if travelling with a young family. The photo above shows the views from Ash facing over the river and stream towards Riverside pitches.
Lime Touring Campsite Pitches

Lime Touring Pitches

Our Lime pitches are generally reserved for those who are camping with us, a beautifully small area of grass pitches overlooking the wildlife lake. These pitches are again very limited, based close to the disabled toilet and shower facilities, with a children’s play park also nearby. These pitches include an electric hook up, but care should be taken near the water with young children. The photo above shows our beautiful lake as seen from Lime facing towards Willow where holiday homes are sited.
Willow Touring Campsite Pitches

Willow Touring Pitches

Our Willow pitches are very popular, based overlooking the wildlife lake and very close to our shop, reception and main toilet facilities. Centrally based in the middle of our park, our pitches here are all hardstanding with electric hook up, separated by laurel bushes. These pitches accommodate caravans and motorhomes and we have one very large pitch for a large holiday home. The photo above shows a view facing towards Willow from the opposite side of the lake, from a bank popular with dog walkers.
Beech Touring Campsite Pitches

Beech Touring Pitches

Our Beech pitches are on grass with an electric hook up, separated by laurel hedges and based near the older children’s play park. These pitches are ideal if you want to be away from the central area of our park, and tend to be quieter and more relaxing at peak times of the year. These pitches are a based close to toilet and shower facilities and just a short walk from the western exit gates for fishing and walking trails in the forest. The photo above shows a view of Beech facing towards Pine hard standing pitches.
Cedar Touring Campsite Pitches

Cedar Touring Pitches

Our Cedar pitches are very popular with young families, based away from the river and running water, but very close to the younger children’s play area, toilet and washing facilities. These pitches are mixed, mainly grass pitches with electric hook up, but we also have two hardstanding pitches either side of the play area and one non-electric grass pitch. The photo above shows our Cedar pitches on the right hand side of the fork in the road, with Riverside pitches on the left hand side backing onto the river.
Pine Touring Campsite Pitches

Pine Touring Pitches

Our Pine pitches are hard standing with an electric hook up, separated by laurel hedges and based near the older children’s play park. These pitches are ideal if you want to be away from the central area of our park, and tend to be quieter and more relaxing at peak times of the year. These pitches are a based close to toilet and shower facilities and just a short walk from the western exit gates for fishing and walking trails in the forest. The photo above shows a view of Pine taken from a Beech pitch.
Oak and Chestnut Touring Campsite Pitches

Oak and Chestnut Touring Pitches

Oak and Chestnut pitches are towards the western boundary of our holiday park, now separated by laurel hedges for the new holiday season. These pitches are on grass with an electric hook up, with gates providing access into the forest and separately owned fishing lakes. These pitches are a short walk from toilet and shower facilities, and a children’s play park. The photo above shows a view of this area of our site, facing towards the gates through to the fishing lakes and forest trails.
Hawthorn Touring Campsite Pitches

Hawthorn Field Touring Pitches

Open through the summer months, our Hawthorne camping field is ideal for those who want a more basic base for their holiday. Pitches on this area of our park are non electric, with a three to five minute walk away from the main site facilities. The field itself has two basic toilets, two fresh water drinking points, bin bays and firefighting equipment. The photo above shows a view up our empty Hawthorn camping field from the footpath which leads to the main site facilities.
Sherwood Forest Oak Leaf

Touring Campsite Facilities

We are a rural, family holiday park who really care for our guests and the great outdoors. The wildlife, the woods, the countryside that surrounds us, they all help to create that feeling of tranquillity and peace, at one with nature and a space away from the stresses of daily life. Facilities at our park reflect that ethos, offering everything you might need during your stay, but keeping nature and simplicity at the forefront. We tend to be incredibly busy during peak times and would always recommend that you book in advance to avoid disappointment.
Campsite Shop and Reception

Campsite Shop and Reception

Our shop and reception stocks all the holiday basics such as milk, eggs and bread, and the often forgotten essentials such as toilet rolls and toothbrushes. We also offer a wide range of discounted camping and caravanning goods. Prices are hard to beat, even compared to the online retailers, so please do come and have a look around. At our reception you can also order a newspaper, hire an iron or exchange your empty gas bottles. Our shop is open all year round and is also available to non residents.
Plenty at Our Campsite for Children

Plenty for Children at Our Campsite

There’s plenty to do for children at our holiday park, whether that be playing at one of the two children’s play areas or slightly further afield exploring the forests, streams and the great outdoors. Our park is full of nature and wildlife, so there is plenty for them to see and do, including feeding the ducks, swans and geese, riding their bikes in the woodlands all around and just outside of our park, or taking a leisurely stroll down the river together as a family. We are also conveniently located for many local tourist attractions.
Campsite Toilet and Shower Blocks

Campsite Toilets and Showers

Our park has five separate toilet and shower blocks, spread through the site to make the journey as short and as comfortable as possible for you. Our shower blocks are all heated, with warm showers and all the facilities you would expect from a top rated and trusted holiday park. We have specific accessible facilities for disabled guests, as well as a family room with a bath, which we find very popular with young families. Our touring field does have portable loos, but guests are welcome to use our main site facilities.
Dog Friendly Campsite

Dog Friendly Campsite

We are a dog friendly holiday park, with plenty of local trails and routes to walk your dog, even within the park itself. Dogs are most welcome, but must be on a short lead at all times whilst at our site. For reasons of hygiene, we also do not allow dogs within our shop and reception, but do offer tethering points outside. We love animals, but please be a responsible owner and act with consideration for other guests on our park. Remember to clean up after your dog and deposit waste in the bins provided.
Campsite with Fishing Lakes

Campsite with Fishing Lakes

Independently owned fishing lakes can be found just outside of our western gates, making our park and especially those pitches like Oak and Chestnut ideal for keen anglers. The closest lake to our holiday park, Maunside, is a smaller straight lake with twenty pegs available on a day rate. With depths of up to five foot, this well stocked lake offers good year round pole fishing. Further afield are four more lakes over a twenty acre area, each offering something different and a total of nearly two hundred pegs.
Prime Campsite Location

Prime Campsite Location

Our site is in a prime location for those who love spending quality time in the great outdoors. Cyclists and walkers are well catered for with many paths and cycle routes, as well as parks and forests nearby. The team in our shop and reception are happy to provide you with information regarding local attractions and events, as well as the popular cycle and walking routes just outside the park. We are also here to help should you need advice on public transport, local takeaways, or any other problem during your stay.
Responsible Disposal at Our Campsite

Responsible Disposal at Our Campsite

All of our pitches have a disposal point nearby, allowing you to conveniently and easily dispose of your waste responsibly. Remember, the environment and nature is a fundamental feature of our park, so we encourage all of our guests to follow our rules to protect our great outdoors. At each of our toilet blocks you will find waste disposal and fresh water filling points, as well as numerous Elsan points. Newspaper and glass recycling points can be found in each bin area, and we urge you to recycle as much as possible.
