Those arriving to our park for Halloween weekend may be in for a shock, as guests and fellow holidaymakers prepare for our eagerly anticipated Halloween event. A popular weekend, generally booked up months in advance, local residents and visitors are all welcome to join the fun, as darkness falls across the land, voices whisper amongst the trees, caldrons bubble and pumpkins glow by moonlight.
For those arriving that weekend, Friday is typically pizza night, provided by one of our local partners. Made fresh for every customer, reasonably priced and absolutely delicious, pizza on arrival really is a treat to remember. Into Saturday, as the bushes rustle, toil and trouble, we welcome a range of local traders to the park, offering their handmade creations, festive wares, knick-knacks and gifts from 11am till 4pm. Fish and chips will be served from midday until after tea, the van providing all the usual staples as well as the less traditional options like kebabs, nuggets, burgers and mozzarella sticks. Local family butcher, Bowing Butchers, will also be here from 12.30pm till 3pm on Saturday, offering your barbecue essentials ready for the evening activities.
From 2pm on Saturday, we will be doing a children's fancy dress competition outside the shop, with fantastic prizes to be won by the best dressed, awarded for three different age groups. As darkness falls, stay calm and carry your wand, as we judge our best-dressed caravan competition, your opportunity to give a fright and put a spell on us. The winners of this will be announced on Sunday, with the first placed pitch taking £100 in future booking credits, second place £50, and third place £25. We will also be sharing some wicked photos from our evening of fun, so please do follow us on social media and check back to our website after the event. Enjoy the weekend and we look forward to welcoming you.
Christmas then starts early in Robin Hood country, as we hold our Winter Wonderland event on the first Saturday of December. This will be your opportunity to start getting in the Christmas spirit, as local traders offer their creations, festive wares, bites and tipple, and we all partake in some popular activities to spread the festive cheer. Fun for all the family, visitors are again welcome to our park to share the fun, spread the merriment, and to enjoy what’s arguably the most wonderful time of the year. If you are a local trader or would like to market your crafts at this event, please do get in touch with our team, details on our contact page.
